“Let’s work, let’s play, let’s live together….it’s our Jack and Jill motto forever….”
I am proud to extend you greetings on behalf of the Stamford-Norwalk Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated. Since the installment of our chapter in 1953, when six mothers joined together to make the lives of their children better through community service and involvement, our chapter has thrived. We have a rich history of working together to provide social, cultural and educational experiences for our children and our community as directed by our national charter.
In the words of our organization’s esteemed founder, Marion Stubbs Thomas, “To us as Mothers, Jack and Jill has become a means of furthering an inherent and natural desire… to bestow upon our children all the opportunities possible for a normal and graceful approach to a beautiful adulthood.”
Each moment, meeting, and gathering, we are reminded that THE reason for Jack and Jill is our children. As we move forward as a local chapter and member of a national organization consisting of over 220 chapters nationwide with over 30,000 members, we continue to work under the national directive and programming, providing the best opportunities for our children and community.
Our chapter is thankful for our Founding Mothers who created this great organization. We are thankful for the Mothers who have come before us and laid the foundation for our chapter. We will uphold their diligent works and live by our national motto.
